As you can see from today's picture of the Ponte Vecchio in Florence, we have arrived in the city of the Medicis. We had an interesting train trip from Rome to Florence, mostly because we are moving a small mountain of baggage along with the five adults and one baby who are traveling together. but we made it, and I even had time this afternoon to visit the Uffizi museum. I am really enjoying the Florentine skyline, with towers and church spires around every corner. I had forgotten what a visual treat this city is. I look forward to the next week here.
