We are now making our back south and wanted to position ourselves to go through the narrows in the middle of the day. We had originally planned to go to Campbell River but with a forecast for 20-25 knot winds blowing up the route we planned to take, we took a different route and managed to stay out of the wind until the very end of our journey.
We are now tied up at the Taku resort in Heriot Bay. There is a good restaurant nearby, plus a good grocery store with licquor, so we have been able to resupply ourselves for the next week. if the wind permits us to get off the dock here tomorrow, we will start puttering around some different anchorages in Desolation Sound.
