We’re back at the funkiest marina in the Broughtons—homey Shawl Bay, where they serve pancakes in the morning. Pictured behind the Tamarisk is the covered float where we’ll convene for cocktails and meet the other boats. Great stories and helpful boat advice to be had for being friendly. We’re lucky—we landed here on the night they’re providing a seafood chowder as the center of a potluck dinner. Fresh homemade bread, and cinnamon buns too. And supposedly there are shrimp in the bay outside the marina. We’ve set the pot and we’ll see tomorrow.
