Pictured here is the first crab of the season being dropped into the pot. The special spot at Lagoon Cove that I was told about by one of the staff continues to yield well. I garnered a total of 6 crab (3 yesterday and 3 more this morning), and will make up a nice crab hors d-oeuvre to share with our fellow boaters tonight at Kwatsi Bay. Looks like we’ll be anchoring out at Kwatsi because the docks are full. They’ve become so popular that there is often no space at the dock. We’re also trying to get into Pierre’s new Echo Bay moorage for the pig roast on Saturday night—have yet to hear whether we’ll have space there. Overall cruising is back up to former levels in the Broughtons, after a low year last summer because of the high fuel prices. Makes dock space crowded sometimes, but we’re glad for all the marina owners that try to make a living out of it.
