Day 3 Fes - The Madrassa

We visited a former Madrassa yesterday, which is a religious school. Today this building is used as a synagogue once a week. The building has beautiful tile work, as do all Moroccan buildings, plus incised plaster with both designs and Arabic script. The main courtyard has carved cedar at the top, with ceramic tiles protecting it at the very top. Here are some pictures of the madrassa. It's almost impossible in the small space of the courtyard to get a full picture from top to bottom, but here's what I got.
